About
Lesbian Thespians

From Our Artistic Director -
Plays of Wilton gave us our first start. While there, we started out with play readings, meet ups, spoken word events, fundraising, and began to develop our loyal audience. As the pandemic waned, the Foundry became busier, and we struggled to find a place to perform. In fact, we did one of our first staged play readings, Enid’s Fly Trap, about a women’s bar’s last days at one of own local Lesbian bars!
We were intrepid however and found a new home in 2023 at ArtServe and became their Theater Company in Residence! We thrived at ArtServe and really grew as a theater troupe. We reprised Enid’s Fly Trap on a real stage and took off from there showcasing five more full productions that told Lesbian, Transgender, and Cisgender women’s stories. We also produced several spoken word performances and musical programs with our iconic Music Director, Maxine Lemarr! All to sell-out crowds! During that time, we attracted directors, sound and lighting designers, set and costume designers, as well as talented actors and performers! Then, we grew out of our home again and said goodbye to ArtServe. Now we are onto our next big adventure at Center for Spiritual Living, where once again we are the Theater Company in Residence.

Know that wherever we are, wherever we may perform, we are always dedicated to ensuring that the voices and talents of women and the queer community are on full display. Our commitment to creativity and freedom of artistic expression is unwavering.
