In July (13 & 20), The Lesbian Thespians are presenting the world premiere of "The Boxes We Keep."
Synopsis: After coming out to her mother (Lara), Chloe is banished, in a manner of speaking. Lara, meanwhile, is in the early stages of dementia and can no longer live alone. She must therefore rely on her other daughters, Georgia and Randi—they, however, have agendas of their own not to mention, rather intriguing closets of their own. The play follows the lives of a family of women who must navigate through some pretty heartbreaking and morally ambiguous territory. ‘The Boxes We Keep’ – reminds us that the pursuit of happiness can often be a shitshow of an ensemble endeavor.

We are casting for the following roles:

CHLOE – Early 40s. (F) LARA’s daughter. A lesbian. She doesn’t want to let anyone down, but realizes she’s spent too long trying to make everyone happy.
LARA – 70s. (F) The matriarch, suffers from dementia. She’s desperately trying to hold onto those scraps of her past that still remain.
GEORGIA – Late 40s. (F) LARA’s daughter. She is in many ways ruthless and will do anything to get what she wants.
RANDI – Mid 40s. (F) LARA’s daughter. She seems rather wishy washy and is easily swayed by her older sister.
EDDIE – 70s. (F) LARA’s sister. Butch lesbian. Acts as LARA’s protector. Down-to-earth. Dresses in flannels, jeans and boots.
SLADE – 40s. CHLOE’s partner. (F)
SARITA – 30s. (F) The realtor slash temptress.
